DIET IN CAMPUS AND OFF CAMPUS PROGRAMMES

DIET is the apex body at the District level in
implementing all the Educational Activities from Standards 1 to 12 of School
Education. The faculty members of the
DIET have to receive various Training Programmes from the National Level/State
Level organizations and impart the same to the District Level, Block Level
organizations and Block Nodal Agencies or Teachers through Direct Contact
Programmes/Cascade Training Method.
As a part of its duty DIET Conducts Pre-Service
Teacher Education Training Programme (D.El.Ed., Diploma) for 2 years per Batch.
The intake for this D.El.Ed., Programme is 50/100 students per year.
Each DIET faculty member should look after Two Revenue
Blocks in terms of to the all round Academic and Educational Activities in
their Allotted Blocks and they will be held responsible for all the Academic
and Educational Activities in the Block’s specified. He / She should make
Academic Monitoring & Academic Assessment in his / her Allotted Blocks.
DIET Ranipet has only faculty members to implement
the In-service programmes as in Para-1, Pre-Service programme as in Para-2 and
Block work as in Para-3.
The
faculty members are expected to perform the following activities in order to
improve the Quality of Education at the district level by combating the
problems by executing the following actions.
IN CAMPUS PROGRAMME
Ø DIET faculty members are now imposed to work
within the campus to serve the Pre-service students towards preparing the new
generation teachers
Ø identify the problems, in teaching among the
student-teachers
Ø Serving the Pre-service students towards preparing
the new generation teachers
Ø Identifying the problems, in Observation/Teaching
among the student-teachers and rectifying them at once.
Ø Measuring the difficulty levels of the
student-teachers in understanding Concepts and Selecting the suitable
methodology for teaching the concept
OFF CAMPUS PROGRAMME
Ø Identifying the Grass Roots Level Academic
Problems emerging in the school
Ø Arriving at the suitable solutions for the Grass
Roots Level Problems in consultation with the co-faculty members/Academic
Experts and implementing the same to achieve the quality.
Ø Developing
the solutions for the problems
and arranging Local Area Based Solutions for solving the Academic Problems of the block allotted
to them
Ø Identifying the problems in learning among the
school students
Ø Measuring the difficulty levels of the school
students in understanding Concepts and feeding them accordingly
Ø Overcoming the dilemma among the teachers in
selecting the suitable methodology for teaching the content portions.
Ø Controlling the chaos among the students in case
of disturbed school/classroom situations
Ø Accomplishing the students with Physical and
Mental Disorder
Ø Supplementing the Block Resource Teacher Educators
of SSA in developing and implementing training activities
Ø Coordinating with the Educational District
coordinators of RMSA
Ø Making the BRTEs and members SSA to involve them
in planning the District level/Block Level Educational activities
Ø Making the EDCs and members RMSA to involve them
in planning the District level/Block Level Academic Training programmes
Ø Co-ordinating the Health Department in conducting
School Health Education Programme
Ø Co-ordinating TANSACS in creating awareness among
the Adolescent age group children in the schools.
