INTRODUCING PART I
INTRODUCING PART I
Introducing
numbers to the kids is slightly difficult. A small square board of side 25 cms
with a wooden frame around it, is used to introduce numbers and basic operators
in Mathematics at the Primary Level.
The frame around the board acts as a
stand to hold the NUMBER RODS.
There are ten rods in this kit to
facilitate the basic operations in Mathematics.
Rod 01:
It
is a red cube of Side 2.5cms. It represents 1 unit.
Placing
the Rod 01 in the Number Rod Board is given in Diagram 01.

NUMBER RODS BOARD
|

|
|||||||||
It
is a cuboid made up of two cubes of side 2.5 cms each placed one over the
other. It means that, two units are joined one above the other. two cubes one is
red and the other is blue.
In
this rod red unit represents 1 and the blue unit represents 2. So, while
keeping this rod on the board the red unit should be placed at the bottom,
frame which acts as a stand.
Placing
the Rod 02 in the Number Rod Board is given in Diagram 02.
