         Administration is a collection of works / duties / acts that are to be done under a structured body which may pass orders from upward to downwards.

        While moving down the structure may widen to the large or to some limited extent.  Rarely, the structure may remain the same throughout.  This type of structure bearing various calibers of working positions is known as Administrative structure.  It is also known as administrative ladder.

        This Administrative structure is holding defined duties with expected outcomes for each and every work positions.  All the duties are arranged sequentially, interlinked manner to implement the plans laid by the organization to achieve the goal and make the vision come into existence.

        Administration is the Power Organ of an Organization which integrates leadership & vision to organize the members achieve the common objectives of the organization.  It ensures the implementation of plan in proper direction and suitable magnitude to reach vision in multiple dimensions.

DIET Administration:

        The Administrative Structure of DIETs is planned by Ministry of Human Resource Development and implemented in each district of India.  It is the district level apex body in designing local Area based curriculum, devising suitable training, implementing innovative practices, evaluating the process and achieving the goals of education.

Head:

        Principal is the head of this organization.  Seven Academic wings and one Administrative wing are operating under his guidance.  The Seven Academic Wings look after the district level Academic activities.  He / She possess the complete control over this organization and its activities.

        There are seven branches under DIET Administration.

They are

    PSTE – Pre Service Teacher Education

    IFIC – In service Field Interaction Innovation & Co-ordination

    CMDE – Curriculum Material Development & Evaluation

    WE – Work Experience

    ET – Educational Technology

    DRU – District Resource Unit

    PM – Planning & Management

All the seven academic branches are headed by one senior lecturer per branch in the higher secondary school headmaster cadre.

15 lecturers are working in different numbers under each branch head.

The Administrative wing of DIET is headed by the Bursar.

He / She controls all the administrating activities with the help of Statistical Officer, Assistants, Junior Assistants, Steno Typist, Typists, Office Assistant etc.,

The Administrative wing completely supports all the academic activities of each branch which in-turn supplements the District Level Academic Actions.
