It is a Story about Jealousy.  There were two merchants named Somu&Vardhan.  Mariyathairamanwas the Judge for all aspects in their town. Somu fell in jealous on Varadhan as he was called by the Judge often.  Somu didn’t know why he was called by the Judge and he approached Varadhan to know about the call from Judge.  But he refused to answer.
So, Somu’s wife wished him to build friendship with Varadhan as both thought Varadhan was in good rapport with the Judge and Somu acted accordingly.
After some days, Somu was asked by a Government servant to pay the Sales tax.  He refused to pay the tax because he thought that his friend Varadhan would save and relieve him from tax by proposing his name to Mariyadhairaman.
After some days, Somu was called by the Judge.  He went with passion. But the Judge asked him to serve in the Government yard as he didn’t pay the tax.  The Judge also explained that Varadhan was also doing the same as he also didn’t pay tax.  Somu realized his fault and then decided not to be jealous on others thereafter.
